Justin Kitson is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He specialises in commercial chancery disputes, property litigation and arbitration. He has considerable experience in disputes relating to (i) development and sale agreements, (ii) joint venture agreements, (iii) construction (particularly in the retail sector), (iv) partnership, (v) business tenancies, including rent review and dilapidations, and (vi) professional liability. Justin has appeared in courts and tribunals at all levels in England and Wales, and internationally. He has also acts regularly and effectively in an ADR setting.
Justin is recognised as one of the leading barristers in a number of different categories in the legal directories (Legal 500, Chambers & Partners and Legal Experts). He has been described variously as “very charming”, “highly clever and happy to adapt to the client needs”, and “a very bright chap” who “gets his sleeves rolled up” and “works prodigiously hard.”
In 1999, Justin was the recipient of the prestigious Prince of Wales Scholarship from Gray’s Inn. In 2005, he was elected Chairman of the Young Barristers’ Committee of the General Council of the Bar. He has strong connections to both London and the North of England.
